"MORE THAN A
MISUNDERSTANDING":
SEXUAL HARASSMENT ON CAMPUS FOR STUDENTS
"More Than a Misunderstanding" rips the issue from todays headlines and presents it with razor-sharp clarity to your students. Along with the basics (Quid Pro Quo/Hostile Environment), our program reveals the intangible aspects of harassment. First, we define Sexual Harassment, from a student perspective and examine current Supreme Court rulings affecting Sexual Harassment in the context of the institution. If your institution has a policy regarding Harassment and the Student, we can insert it into our program. Secondly, we illustrate several common scenarios that depict harassment: Student/Faculty, Student/Staff, and Student/Student. Finally, we offer a detailed a step-by-step process of how institutions and individuals can prevent and/or control harassment in accordance with your policy long before EEOC is brought into the picture. It also examines vicarious liability and affirmative defense along with the long-term benefits when harassment is eliminated from campus. This material is a must for institutions, which understand the ramifications of Sexual Harassment, and want to take steps to protect the Student, Faculty, Staff and the College or University.
