Public Service Announcements

SST Communications, Inc.These three 30-second television PSAs were created by SST Communications for the North Central Region of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association to promote awareness of how useful an EAP can be. Viewing the videos or listening to the sound tracks

Depending on your system, your web browser version, and the browser "plug-ins" installed, clicking the icons above may launch Windows Media Player, Apple QuickTime, or some other application to play the media files

If clicking the icon does not play the sound or video on your computer, try right-clicking and select "Save As" to save the file to your computer. Then, double-click the file you just saved to run the media application installed on your system.

Internet Explorer may ask you if you want to either save it to disk or run it from its current location. We suggest that you first try "Run". The files do not contain viruses, and cannot harm your system.

Information on the files

Multimedia videos: The original PSAs were high-quality, smooth full-motion, full-screen videos. The quality of these videos here were reduced to accommodate the average 28.8 modem Internet connection. Also, the audio in the Windows AVI videos is 8-bit mono, to keep the file size down to a reasonable figure. The file size is listed at the end of each description.

Sound tracks: Several sound file formats are provided here for you to choose from, depending on your system and how long you want to wait for the files to load. All soundtracks for each PSA are the same as in the video. The 16-bit Wave sound files are the highest quality but take longer to load than the smaller, slightly inferior quality 8-bit Wave (.wav), Apple AIFF (.aif) and Web Audio (.au) files.

Had we put the files in CD-quality audio or full-motion high-quality video, the file sizes would have been enormous.
