MIXED COMPANY:
Managing InterGenerational Diversity
Mixed Company examines the unprecedented phenomena unique to the American experience; four generations at work, each with its own set of core values, work ethic and etiquette. This theatre-based training program explores what makes each generation tick, and how to manage their respective strengths and minimize their weaknesses. This program is excellent for managers who want to retain valuable employees. It is also effective for all employees who want to understand their co-workers, and how to perform more efficiently in the framework of this evolving landscape.

This medley of songs amplifies the values underpinning each generation from a cultural perspective. We learn a great deal about each generation from their pop culture "anthems."ASK OR TELL

This "Boomer" explains how being a single-parent has inhibited her climb up the ladder. She "wants it all," and is frustrated that she cannot achieve her goals.SURVIVOR
A "GenXer" dictates what he needs in order to function well within the organization. This is not a wish-list, but rather a set of demands he expects to be met or else…I'VE GOT TO GO
A young, "Nexter" discusses her concern of ethical issues. Having come to age in the context of political scandal and private sector misconduct, we see how important ethics are to this youngest group of employees.COMMUNICATE
A strategy is given, how communicating effectively across the generational divides reduces conflict and allows more time focused on solving tasks and less time managing intergenerational clash.ASK OR TELL II
We see the group from Ask Or Tell, hard at work again. However, now they are on target, using their unique strengths and styles toward success.
