"FEELING THE CLAIM":
WORKERS' COMP FRAUD PREVENTION

"Feeling The Claim" is designed to raise the awareness of all employees to the consequences of committing fraud. Without using an accusatory tone, audiences come away with a deeper understanding that when fraud is committed, all of us "Feel the Claim". Two versions of this program, one for Federal Employees and another for the Private Sector, are available and can be customized to individual state requirements.

Scenes Included in the Program

ENVY
This darkly humorous fable illustrates how a small percentage of the population feel compelled to abuse benefits designed to help those in true need, regardless of the burden their actions place on their neighbors.

FEELING THE CLAIM
Here the program outlines the frequency and types of fraud, as well as its economic impact on each individual in the form of higher premiums and increased costs for goods and services.

IN A HURRY
An injured employee expresses his gratitude for Workers' Comp, because the quality of life for his family has been preserved, underscoring the value of Workers Comp to those truly in need.

PROCEDURES
This series of helpful tips describes how to streamline filing procedures for a legitimate claim.

DEER SEASON
With no remaining paid sick leave and deer season approaching, this employee's solution is an on-site injury. We follow a widening circle of lies as he tries to abuse the system and find warning in his resulting just deserts.

HARD TIME
A woman files a fraudulent claim feeling that, as a single-parent, she is justified in bending the rules a bit. As she is subsequently caught and sentenced to a year in jail, this touching vignette acknowledges the temptation to commit fraud while clarifying the serious consequences of doing so.

FLAGS
Organizations have become very effective in detecting fraudulent claims. Sophisticated investigative techniques and zero tolerance should deter even the most inconsiderate individual from filing a false claim.
